Unity was displayed as Kenyan Bishop licenses three Lay Readers and confirmed 7 candidates at St. Stephen Church inc. in Lowell,Massachusetts
Hundreds of faithfuls braved the early Sunday rain showers to attend a colorful confirmation and licensing ceremony at St. Stephen Church inc. in Lowell,MA
The well attended event took place at St Stephen’s Church 279 W 6th west Street in Lowell,Massachusetts.
Leading the procession was  The Rt. Rev.Dr.Joseph K Muchai Bishop of ACK Nakuru Diocese Kenya

It was all celebration as some church members from Nakuru county met bishop Muchai who is serving the fastest growing ACK Diocese in Kenya
Many Kenyan pastors from New England were in attendance. In the ceremony were retired Canon Peter N.Gachathi and  his wife Nellie Gachathi from St.Paul’s Community Church,Lawrence,MA,Rev Joseph Ngotho,St Stephen’s Church Lynn,MA,Rev.Peter Kiama St.Marks Church Worcester,MA Rev Johnson Macharia Irungu from Church of All Nations North Reading,MA Rev,Jamleck Kariuki Wa Wairimu Emmanuel Christian Church Rhode Island, Rev.Dorcas Karanja of Victory Int / God’s Speaks ministries Dracut,MA, Rev.Naomi & Rev.Dr John Mwaniki of Ezra Bible/Ezra Cristian Radio,Rev Stanley Mwea of Faith Anglican Church Lowell,MA,Min Elijah “Mwalimu” Karanja from Kenya among many others.
I wish to appreciate the blessings , favor and presence of God experienced during the baptism of a young girl and the confirmation of several youths followed by the licensing of Lay reader’s who have shown a lot of dedication to st Stephen Church Lowell.
This was a very colorful ceremony which was officiated by Bishop Muchai assisted by Rev Njoroge of St Stephen Church Lowell,Massachusetts
The service was well organized and seemed months of preparations
The sermon by the Bishop was very powerful which was drawn from the book of Hebrews and the message was making every effort into the things off God serving faithfully with dedication and fully prepared and focused to God.
He caused laughter when he gave a story of how one person decided to thank God for how he had been blessed with two goats and made a vow to give God one of his goats but just before he gave one of the goat died and he did mince his words as he said “God have decided to take his before “ and this became a reason for not giving to God. This is a reflection of how uncommitted we can be to our God . He challenged Christians to take seriously the word of God and honor Him with all our hearts seeking peace with everyone
St Stephen church is doing exceptionally well and beyond expectations and their unwavering support of their pastors Ven Samuel Kimohu and Rev Njoroge
